Recently, thirty-five Neoga High School students had a chance to “head East” and see three popular cities. New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. were all covered in a seven day period from June third to June thirteenth. Some of the highlights of the Washington, D.C., portion of the trip were The Vietnam and Korean War Memorials, as well as the Lincoln, Jefferson, and Roosevelt Memorials. In New York City, the students visited Ground Zero and The Rockefeller Center. In an exciting turn of events, the students were captured by the cameras of The Today Show. While in Philadelphia they were able to observe the U.S. Mint, Independence Hall and The Liberty Bell. Neoga High School Senior Madison Walk reflected, “It was very educational.”
