Every minute, every day, someone needs blood. The Neoga Healthcare Club recently sponsored a blood drive with the American Red Cross. Seventy-one people showed up to try to donate, and sixty-one of them were able to donate. One hundred eighty-three people “in need” will possibly benefit from this donated blood. Overall, there were twenty first time donors, and they were all students. Neoga High School junior Natasha Beals said, “We exceeded the goal that we set, and hope to do it again next time.” The Healthcare Club will hold another blood drive that will be held on February 22, 2011.
