FCCLA’s first trash pickup was held last Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Ten members worked to clean up Route 45, spanning 2 miles of highway. Their successful work amounted to 10 bags of trash cleaned up from our community. The next FCCLA trash pickup will be held October 20, 2010, for any interested members. It is encouraged that members do as many service activities as possible to accumulate points. It is important for all members to remember that they must have at least one trash pickup in order to attend the end of the year field. FCCLA faculty advisor, Mrs. Schafer, said, “The trash pickup went very well, and we were able to pick up ten bags of trash, cleaning the highway”.
