Neoga FCCLA holds an annual Ice Cream Social every year. New and old members alike met in Mrs. Schafer’s room on August 31, 2010 to enjoy ice cream covered with whatever topping they desired. The primary aim of The Ice Cream Social is to inform new members of what FCCLA is all about and what they do throughout the year. The club participates in section meetings, proficiency events, annual meetings, fundraisers, and “Friday Night Lives.” Club sponsor, Mrs. Sheri Schafer, stated, “We’re looking forward to a very active and productive year! We have an upcoming costume party at the end of October and Operation Christmas Child is coming up.” Overall, this meeting was a success and all had a great time and some good food in the process.
